The RC2500LA's low-profile steel insert ring is the latest improvement accomodating all models of timpanis. They are twice as thick, offering more rigidity and strength to the flesh hoop and making it easier to tune the drum - leveling it off as well as improving the projection. The low-profile steel insert ring is anodized preventing any rust for the life of the head.
