DR's Bajo Strings are designed using two different winding materials to ensure brightness and musicality throughout the range. A stainless-steel wrap on a round core give the bass strings in the octave pairs the deep low-end needed for Norteño and Tejano music. The Nickel-plated steel wrap on hexagonal cores on the higher wound strings ensures the top-end brightness needed for strumming and melody lines.
